Managing Data Sources

By default all universes have a data source called Current Connection, which is the database on which Syntelate XA is running.

In addition, you can add external databases as other data sources. There are two types:

External database: Another database (not the one on which Syntelate XA is running).
A web service: A web service that Syntelate XA can use.

Adding a Data Source

To add a new data source, click New above the list of data sources. Complete the fields as required and then click Save and Close.

To edit a data source, click Edit for the data source that you want to edit. Edit its details as required and then click Save and Close.

Note: You cannot edit the Current Connection data source.

To delete a data source, you must first delete any data source object links and data source objects that you have created for the data source.

Next click Delete for the data source that you want to delete. A dialog box shows. Click Delete to confirm the deletion.

Note: You cannot delete the Current Connection data source.
