Adding a Desktop

To add a new desktop, follow these steps:

  1. In the list of desktops, click Add. The Add Desktop section is shown.
  2. In the Name box, type a name for the desktop.
  3. Select whether to add the desktop to an existing universe or else to create a new universe for it. You’ll need to complete further fields based on your selection.

    Warning: Make sure you choose the right universe for your desktop, because you cannot edit this setting after the desktop has been added to Syntelate XA. If you choose an unsuitable universe, but you don't notice your mistake until after you have designed the desktop, you would need to delete the desktop (and thereby lose all its elements, controls, scripts) and start again.

  4. To create a Configuration Desktop, select the Configuration desktop check box.
  5. Click Save.
